About Adaptive-Tech Services
 

Adaptive-Tech Services was established in August 1997 out of a need for a local supplier of adaptive technology products and services for the Hunter Valley, Newcastle and Central Coast region. 

The manager of Adaptive-Tech Services, Mark Walters has been blind since birth and knows from a personal perspective the benefits and life changing opportunities that adaptive technology devices, software and training can bring to one’s life.

Mission
 

By providing products and services in the field of adaptive technology
hardware and software individuals who are blind or vision impaired will have greater access to information technology to enhance independence and quality of life.

At ATS we are able to provide support across all areas of screen magnification, speech and Braille output technologies.  ATS is able to particularly focus on areas of speech enabled solutions for PC’s and PDA devices.  Braille output features as one of our core areas of expertise and development.  The strong background in the area of teaching Braille to adults after vision loss and extensive use of Braille output technology both for PDA and computer screen access has encouraged many individuals to explore how Braille based technology may be an alternative to speech output alone.
 

The size of a supplier of products and services is often an issue for individuals.  At ATS we pride ourselves on being a small dedicated supplier of products and services for people in our community who require individual attention.  Our culture is totally customer focused and supportive of individual changing needs.
